Chapter-3

New Life New Beginning

It is hard to stay away from the loved ones and its harder to stay if you are moving in a new city for the first time.Similar was the situation with Arjun,reached New Delhi Station at 11.30 am and Aakash had to leave for airport and Arjun had to take another train to reach Noida.The time came when both the brothers have to go to different directions and again it was difficult for Arjun as all this was new to him,he did not know how to say good bye or how to just carry himself from such situations. Aakash said before moving  “Arjun you are moving in totally new place and I know its difficult to live in metro cities,Just stay connected with all three of us and see that you don’t get into any bad habits because once you get into,Its difficult to leave it speaking from my personal experience” and Arjun replied to him that “Don’t worry brother I promise you I wont indulge myself in any such things and yep I promise if I wont get connected with mom-dad but I’ll surely be connected with you.” Arjun hugged him and greet Aakash with a good bye kiss on cheeks.Both headed their feet to their respective destination.

NOIDA ,which was earlier considered a small town has now become a new,improved and well developed city.

Arjun when departed from the station took cab because he was carrying one hell of luggage.While in cab he was just thinking and admiring the new city,new roads,new people and everything which was coming right across his mind and eyes,he gave a sigh and said “What a beautiful city Arjun ! Finally you always wanted to live alone and now you have got it, I hope this stay of 4 years will indeed be a good one.” And then the driver said “You have reached L.D.I !” and the moment he saw his campus he again whispered to his soul “L.D.I-Here I come !” and gave the rent to the driver and entered with his luggage ,went straight to the boys hostel and checked his name on the list-He found himself with Pranay of the Footwear department In room no.5 ! L.D.I refers to Leather Designing Institute but had courses like footwear designing and fashion designing.He first thought how will Pranay be like because it was his first time he will be living all alone in a new city with new people and thinking the same thing,he reached his room.The moment he entered his room Rats running around,dust fell out and a derogatory smell was all around the room,Arjun gave a big sigh and said “HOLY SHIT”-“WHAT A START TO THE HOSTEL LIFE !!” and felt little disgusted.He peeped into the next room where the entrance exam topper was living Sanjay along with Himanshu and he asked them How long the room has not been opened ? and they said the room got opened today knowing that you and Pranay will stay in this room.He whispered Fuck !! This gave a slight start to get along with the new guys in the hostel.Within an hour his room was cleaned and he unpacked his stuff and hoping that when Pranay will come ? It was 21^st July 2013. and he did not come on that day.

22^nd July 2013 The First day of his college,but before that was his first night he survived without his parents and was away from his home his room and all the comforts he used to get there,sleeping alone in an unpleasant atmosphere was one hell of a difficult experience for him.So for the whole night he was all awake hoping that at some point of time he will fall asleep.The first day of college made him feel that he is indeed standing at that place which he never dream off.He interacted with some of the batch-mates by looking at some of the names from the list but none he felt that anyone is to that mark because the way people were interacting to him ,he found very unusual in that and he could not feel any sought of connection with any one.He did not know that this was his first day and he was meeting with everyone for the first time.Desperated and restlessness was pretty much visible in the eyes and in the behavior of Arjun.Out of 180 students he got flattered by one girl,he did not know her name,from where she was,from which department. He tried to know the name of that girl but the question was HOW ? It was not easy to just go and start talking to the girl who has really impressed you from a lot of 180 students.Was that Fatal Attraction a LOVE ?

Arjun really did not know because whenever he felt he was in love wrong things always turn on him in some or the other way.

The next day the class commences and the moment he entered his class he found that same girl sitting at the first bench of first row.Arjun said to him “Wow Man ! This is So much Awesome ,thank you God” started giggling and tried keeping to control his emotions.He sat on the bench behind that girl and saw some of the girls laughing at him.Arjun wondered “why are they laughing at me ?” the truth was he was looking like a Bald Football ,although football are bald only but he was seriously looking pathetic.Start of the college should be like improving yourself in the best way and then entering the college that too in N.C.R like a DUDE, and he was exactly the opposite, total bald look ,little hair,heavy beard,44 waist size man with 101 Kilograms and everything was just at its worst.He felt ashamed of himself and promised himself “3 months I will come back to that shape you wont even imagine me.” !! Now what about that mystery girl,sitting right in front of him, wearing an attractive dress just the type of girl he always thought off.He was in a dilemma weather he should talk to her because he hate himself as a matter of fact he thought he was the ugliest boy alive,at that time.At the end of the college hours she forgot her drawing file, which coincidentally gave the first step to Arjun.He ran after her and finally said, ”Excuse Me Shaunaya you left your file in class.” Shaunaya looked back and said “Thanks a lot Arjun” Arjun replied “Its Ok It was my duty to give your file safe and sound to you.” And Shaunaya laughed and said “Thank you with a killer smile ! He kicked his guts and asked her “Are you free right now ?” she replied “Yea” he asked “Can we just sit in lawn and spend some time ?” scared he was what will be her reply.Shaunaya replied “Yea Sure Gimme just 10 minutes I will go in my room and keep the stuff,change and then we can sit and gossip.” Arjun got a shock of his life because he thought that the answer will be exactly the opposite.She came and they started talking the general stuff and spent proper time knowing each other they exchanged the phone numbers with each other and when she went he felt like he has conquered the empire of TATA’s  so much elated he was.

The next morning he got up at 5.30 in the morning and joined nearby gym.There was not a single moment when you wont see Shaunaya and Arjun not together; wether it was Breakfast in mess,going to classrooms together,having lunch in mess sitting in lawn after college and then at the dinner time.On that night at the dinner She made Arjun met her roommates which were of his department only.There was one girl name Aaliya from Kashmir a Hindu and a sweet simple girl and Arjun could not take his eyes off her.

The next day a guy name Anirudh of his class only came and introduced himself and made Arjun introduced with three more girls Ishita,Priya and Meher.The group of four accompanied themselves to the mess and sat together for the evening session and tried knowing each other.Arjun was very good in judging and analyzing some people but if he analyzed them he really analyzed them perfectly.What those girls gave an impression and even Anirudh it was quite clear to him that they are not as worth as Shaunaya and Aaliya.Moreover he started disliking Meher on the first daybut “she was a type of girl who talks so so so sweet and in a seductive way which tempts you to do the things to an endless limit for her .” She herself asked Arjun for his no. Confused Arjun gave his no. Coincidently the college did not give much work on the intial days of the college.So the students obviously spent time with their classmates and other people,Being such a small campus the people used to occupy themselves whenever they saw any place.Arjun instead of spending time with Shaunaya got carried away and started spending time with Meher,knowing that he seriously did not like her.

Shaunaya saw them while passing by and gave a disheartened look to Arjun.

He understood something is wrong and So as Meher.Instead of excusing Arjun so that he could go and talk she made him sit and started with some another topic.

After Arjun got free from the parasite he called Shaunaya and tried explaining the things,the small things made them to talk for 2hrs and the closeness was felt by both.

On the same night while text each other Arjun accidentally asked Shaunaya within 3 days of college life that “Do you Love Me ?” and after sending her this message he was regreting “What in the world just happen ?” after some minutes Shaunaya replied “Arjun I really like u a lot,u r like a cute teddy but I don’t think Im ready for a commitment because I had a very disgusting past ! and I don’t want u to suffer the same,Im sorry !” Arjun did feel the confusion but he could not accept the rejection knowing that the girl likes him,so he tried asking or making her realize her answer in some or the other way.But he could not get what he really wanted.But he was really asking himself why he did all this ? Why 3 days of college seems like 30 days of college ? but he could not get any answers.The next morning he found Pranay and his dad in front of his room.Arjun greeted the two and whispered himself “finally !”

He forgot everything what happened the last night and went to his class with a very fresh start.Happy he was to see the same reaction from Shaunaya.Aaliya could clearly see Arjun’s unsual reactions for Shaunaya.Slowly the 3 started meeting some more people like Milan,Ritika and their classmates,had a first outing on the fourth day for a lunch with Milan,Aaliya and Shaunaya ! And slowly they started hanging more and more with an addition of Avantika (Shaunaya’s roommate)in it.Finally after 5-6 days everyone went out for a great outing for a movie,lunch and photo session as a GROUP.

Finally Arjun got what he always dreamt in school time,while studying.

In the meanwhile Arjun made one mistake introducing Pranay to his newly made group.Pranay might did not care about others but cared for Aaliya and in a couple of days they got together.

Pranay was like a mouse face,shuffled long hair and Aalliya on the other hand was like a princess.

Chapter-2 

What To Do ?

Aakash was indeed going through a very tough phase in his life as eye surgery was no doubt risky. The results of 12^th board had to arrive on the day of his brother’s surgery. Arjun’s mom was baffled while waiting outside the operation theatre and was hoping that every thing just ends on a good note, news flashed on Mr. Singhania’s phone that results are out he told Arjun the news and he was confused “Should I check the result or not ?” “If the result is bad what will be the scenario?” There is already disturbance in the family.”

But he thought “If the result fulfill his expectations then, his achievement will remove the little disturbance and will surely bring bunch of happiness in the family!” He asked his father to give him his phone and with nervousness he logged at the CBSE site and got a shock of his life.

94.8%. It was enough for a guy who was scoring 50-70% for past 3 years. His Dad after hearing this got delighted and had joyful tears in his eyes. He hugged him and Arjun could feel the warmth and affection from his dad after ages. The surgery was a success and when the results were told to his mother and brother they were elated and burst out of happiness because after six years Arjun got a result 90% and above, history was indeed repeated itself.

Now came a question what to choose as his career with such great marks he could now get admissions in DU. Mumbai and any great commerce colleges, but he wanted to become master in that thing which is challenging for him.

He did not know what he really wanted to do in his future but was kind of confused. He had a great addiction towards World Wrestling Entertainment, and he always dreamed himself in that squared ring with his rival friends being his name announced exactly the way they are announced in the ring. But he could not say this out after his 12^th that he wants to become a wrestler and that he wants to practice it professionally. Sometimes looking at the mirror he used to console himself that he is the smartest hunk alive  and then he used to look at the very best of the field.“One day I’ll be like them”, the next few days he will be very particular and focused in gym but after some days of hard working he used to get crazy cravings for Pizza’s, Burger’s and then he used to again self satisfy himself by saying “Only today I am eating the next time I’ll be eating will be in next month.” And that next month would come in a couple of days. So because of no perfect goal in his life he tried applying hit and trial method in his life. The family were after him that “What will you do in your life ?”

He wanted some fun in his life and then he thought that he was single too. But he was afraid because the past experiences were painful and he cannot handle rejections because every time he got in a relationship he got attached with the girl and every time his attachment level went o the highest level and every time he used to cry and weep in the end like a loser. So he decided to be like other boys and give his heart a break and tried doing this ‘time pass’ thing.

And he found his fifth girl Kishika just at the right time. They met in a mutual friend’s party and Arjun decided to hit on her. Kishika was sitting alone in one corner sobbing and Arjun coincidently saw her. He took a plate served Manchurian, Fries, Bullets and arranged that in a smiley face and called the waiter. The waiter took that plate and offered Kishika. She was dazzled and then she had a contact with Arjun, he gave a gesture to smile and Kishika sad face bloomed. From that point their story begun and within four days both got committed.

His friend with benefits Charu was also not frequently meeting him and thus he played safe by hanging much with Kishika.

But the luck just turned off and he spent more and more time on studying because the entrance was just in a week. He tried to venture into different categories of profession without doing the ground work. Due to involvement of books rather than Kishika they broke off the relation within 2 weeks.

The time came when the declaration of LDI entrance exam was there and he got 300rank out of 17,500 students who applied for all the 6 branches of the college. Now the question was will he get the main branch the NCR region or campuses like Karnatka, Meghalya Rajasthan. Later on the news came that Arjun has got admission in the main branch of LDI and on that very day he got call from Amity University as he was getting scholarship in BBA and they said the fees will be half for all the 90% and above scorers. Now he had to decide either to choose FAME as that college gives that thing in a best way or to choose SKILL. He chose Skill hoping that his decision does noy affect the lives and the hard work of any other in his family. One week was left when Arjun had to leave his city his state and his friends there in Ludhiana and had to move in National Capital Region. Arjun was focusing on his health and his personality and was trying to recover from what he had already become a 102 kilograms guy with 44 waist inch, Over sized cheeks and having an old tendency to roll up the words while speaking fast or when there is some kind of excitement. It was not exactly stammering, Because of his addiction towards World Wrestling Entertainment or should I say John Cena he tried to be like him so started gym in a hard way. Lifting heavy weights,with more reps and devoting as much time he could .The interesting part came he tried the same hairstyle too and arrived home from gym with all the hair cropped up, It was really difficult to be visible from a distance. Reaching home his mother just got on him and thrashed him “How dare you enter my home with this hairstyle? Don’t you have any shame any regret what you have done? We cannot call you our son, anywhere we will go we will make sure that you stays up at home only.” It was hard to swallow all that comments from his mother but he knew that his father would not act just like his mother did. It is an old saying Expected-Unexpected, his dad reached home that evening and directly came into Arjun’s room and gave a tight slap to him and further added “Arjun get up and leave the house right now, you are not our son anymore” and repeated the same stuff what his mother had already done. He was listening each and every word that came out of parents mouth and was questioned himself that “What Exactly have I done?” “Have I done any crime ???” It is just that I love John Cena and tried to follow him. Sitting on the roof ,gazing at the stars and questioning one after the other to the Almighty “Why it is always me ?” and still he got no answer. The next few days there was a sudden commotion in the house knowing that the sons will be leaving to enter their own world. The other day at the time of dinner Aakash raised his voice out of nowhere and asked his parents “What do you want from Arjun? Cant he do what he likes! It is just a random hair cut and you are behaving like he has murdered some guy. I like his new hairstyle and I have no shame in calling him my brother or taking him along with me to anywhere.” He said in a very loud and clear voice and left the scene. It was then Arjun and his parents. Before leaving the scenario Arjun just said “Mom and Dad-I know I am the younger one and I don’t have any rights to say but I just want to say that The moment I will be in the train tomorrow and the moment it will start dispersing from the platform and the moment when you will see me in your eyes getting fading away gradually, From that particular point of time Whether you believe or not you will surely miss me the most, because when my elder brother went for his graduation I was there with you. But now Me and my brother are both going and there will be no one to be with you, to support you, to understand you throughout the day and night.” The next day at the station, his mother Jyotsana and father Manik apologized to Arjun and said that “Go live your life son and Just make sure that the name and the trust should not go down anyhow” ! Arjun promised to his parents “that come what may he won’t do any such thing that would definitely degrade his and his parents name and further added that he will stay away from all the unwanted things.”

Both the parents said “Bye children Live your Life happily and paint it nicely so that everyone can be inspired from you.”

Dude Its Me !

Introduction: This is my first novel ! Dude Its Me which consists of 10 chapters of which I present the first one. I hope you will enjoy reading it. Kindly acknowledge it as it will help me in writing ! This novel is indeed very dear to me and very close to my heart.     

Chapter:1  Who is this me ?

Arjun Singhania a person who is exceptionally brilliant at so many things and an unexpected Jackass at some major decisions of his life ,a guy with a nature of serving all others not at all caring for himself but many a time acting Selfishly too, a guy who loves making new friends but sometimes he does cheap things and apply unhealthy shortcut tricks which costs him his friendship ,a guy who is so- so and so much focused and dedicated with his own essential stuff but sometimes he lacks the focus and the dedication where it needs the most ! This is Arjun Singhania and this is the Me  ! Being the younger one, Arjun was always a protected child who was not that responsible as his brother Aakash was. Arjun was a naughty, witty, intelligent, smart and extrovert types whereas Aakash was intelligent, caring, introvert. Manik Singhania his dad was a dedicated hard worker who always served his family first and always tried to be with the family rather than spending time in his friend circle or with his office colleagues. Jyotsana Singhania his mom was also a very hard working English teacher who has been teaching for past 22 years and was a renowned teacher in the city. Now to start the real story of Arjun you need not to know the whole star cast as people come and go but hardly anyone stays forever. All one need to know is the life of Arjun. The family of Arjun other than his mother, father, brother comprises of many people here are few who did play some role like His mamma-mammi, nana-nani, bua-fufadhji, taya-taayi-and all the cousins. His mother Jyotsana always used to perform any type of functions in such a way that everyone in the family clan should remember that specific celebration till they die. Arjun was born in Ludhiana and did his schooling in Ludhiana itself.He was the only person in the whole family to be born in Punjab so he was indeed a total Punjabi guy. In Arjun’s growth his parents avoided all sorts of family disturbances because they did not want any type of  impact should be there on their kids. Arjun grew pretty good in his schooling. Accomplished many awards and most important he made his name but the teachers always compared him with his elder brother as he was the quite and Arjun was the naughtiest one ,as he used to get 92% and Arjun used to get 75% ,Gradually the grade of comparison rose each day that he started disliking his brother. His brother ended his schooling as he was four years elder to Arjun, he just waited when will he go from the house to his world to his college. Comparison can kill anyone’s confidence, moral, soul and even the human too and it was killing his soul and he was getting changed -his views, his thoughts towards simple stuff and he was becoming more arrogant more short tempered rowdy kind of a boy, all because of the comparison done by stupid teachers. He faced this torture for five years and at every right thing of his was proved wrong because his brother was always appreciated and Arjun was never. It was in 2009 when he was in  9th std. when he and his two classmates Anmol and Avdesh were just abusing each other with Arjun being as one of a punisher ,Avdesh pushed Anmol and he felt on Arjun and he got banged with the glass rack. A sudden commotion was there and his classmates founded that Arjun was lying on the ground with the white shirt being turned into red. After all the needful ceremonies the principal declared that Arjun should be rewarded with the pink card which means a suspension of 15 days with 500 Rs. fine as he destroyed the school property, they did not see that he was pushed on the rack they saw him destroying it ! Well doesn’t make any sense but he had to follow. That same year after the half yearly he was caught in cheating in the examinations because he was having this desire to achieve the Playstation 2 and for the past 2years he has been trying his ass out to get 85%. Yup he was not able to score even 85% as the morale got so low that a 95% child came to 65-70% ! Just to achieve something he got deprived of many things.His so called name and fame was now became a big question. To manage the things after such an image was like to carry the weight of the world.The next day was his science paper and the atmosphere at his house was totally disturbed. He studied all the course all by himself for the first time because he was in a habit of studying with his mother,Guess what he scored 44 out of 50,and yes he got his Playstation 2 even after his Punjabi exam cancelled because of the cheating case.He scored 86% There was an Inter School Declamation contest coming ahead and Arjun did give his name along with Shreya whom he had a crush for past 3years.It really feel awkward while working with the partner you like.The emotions are mixed and one doesn’t know what exactly one has to do.The 2 months prepration just went by and it got succeded whe1n they won the 1st prize in the Inter School Declamation contest.From that their story started.Everyday they started meeting,time used to just fly when they both used to chat either face to face or on phones.Arjun thought more and more about them but it clearly showed that Shreya was least intrested but the talks of Shreya did not assumed so.Arjun’s Life got into another level when he entered in grade 10th usually the grade 10th used to be the most important hurdle of one’s life but from Arjun’s batch including him was like its just another class.Because the education minister introduced a CCE system which was like a semester system which made the serious students go easy and the non serious go carefree ! Usual routine school then tuition and then the home! School he tried spending as much good time but something or the other always tried stopping him-either it was conscious,discontentment of something,underestimation sometimes over too and most of the time jealousies.His brother moved out  by Ads Remover” href=”https://wordpress.com/post/86169430/new#” target=”_blank”>FROM HOME for his graduation to Chennai and he got well placed in Automobile Engineering in one of the best engineering college SRM University. So it was a really difficult time for Arjun to stay alone in home as he never ever did so,he felt that gap,his mom used to be busy in classes and Fathers have their own life its like they interfere when they want and goes away when they want too.Arjun was kind off alone as he used to see all his good friends “what he supposed” with some girl or with some perfect group hanging out or just having fun in school playgrounds canteen.He found that HOT selected girls will be much interested only in those boys who have plenty of cash and a High Class Smartphone so that they can cater to their needs.The boys which were supposed to be Bad for Arjun as he gave this title were the ones who actually got all these girls.The good girls were already hooked up with someone and that hot lot was taken by The Bad asses.So he thought to venture in his tuition life but there also the situation was totally same.And when he used to come at home he used to see either the fights of his parents or that same old family problems increasing day after day.The family problems were so deep and close to my both parent’s heart that they could not avoid it.Arjun’s mamma had a great tiff which lead to sepration,Sepration led us to Arjun’s family not talking with them for past 3.5 years,the family preferred staying away from that seprated brother and apparently his mother did the same.The relationship of his mom with her parents and the younger brother was so tight and warm that she almost forgot that she do have one more brother too.Aakash being the elder son on the other hand was never told all the complete stuff of all the ruckus that used to be created on every alternate day at their home so apparently Arjun suffered all this.The fights were so damm pathetic that it did create an impression of terror and loneliness in his life.He used to seek something when a situation like this used to happen like sleeping,music,playing,watching WWE, anything. But such things gave him peace till the time he is busy doing that particular thing.He could not realize that what all he is losing.He was so fed up from his life that he ate a pack full of crocin  that contained 15 tablets all at once and was asleep for around 15-16 hours Apparently he tried for suicide but could not go through it.Days passed and time somehow went by.But he used to live the same pathetic, creepy,boring life for months and for the next couple of years too,All he got left was to focus in his studies so that he could prove everyone and show that he was better than his brother in everything. The next few months were the hardest in Arjun’s life because it was his 12th and he really had to score up to the expectation of his family, but he tried not to let that ‘Never Give Up’ spirit die. He chose Commerce as his stream over Medical as he always wanted that Doctor tag before his name.The schedule of the last four months were so challenging to him that he had to overcome all the odds and had to shine so what if he had to get up at 5 in morning and had to drive 9 kilometers in that biting chilling foggy weather where he could hardly see the distance of 5 centimeters and then attending Accounts tuition after that his school and then just after the school his business tuition and then Economics and after all this he usually use to arrive at 6.30 in evening and then just 10 minutes break he had his English tuition at his home only because his mother was an English teacher.Life at that time was conditioned and so systematic that he was not at all allowed to waste one single moment and that’s the reason which made him fat,bulky lazy. He gave his best in boards. One fine day he came to know that all the so called family problems have been solved from his mom side and now the culprit are His mom’s parents and that the younger brother.The family now decides not to talk to that family ever. He started talking with the girls that were the part of his past tutorials.He met few and he did set up a scene with the so called girl of his dreams Riya who came with her best friend Akanksha.The date was exotic they laughed , clicked selfies , had lunch together.He was more attracted to her friend Akanksha but Riya was attracted to Arjun.It was more like a love triangle.But somehow he managed to get over the liking of Akanksha and choose Riya as her 1st girlfriend, but that too was not up to the mark as he got broke up because he found Bhagisha with some group of male friends just below a cafe bar. He could not digest that stuff so he went to them and asked Riya to move out of the scene.Instead of agreeing she said “Leave my hand Arjun I don’t want to come with you I want some fun in my life.”  Hearing this he left her and just before leaving further added “I break our relationship with you” ! Now when the boards were over and he had time to decide his future he contacted some of a few known persons who were in the same field and he came across with a girl who was 2 years elder to him Charu. She instead of helping him more focused more on flirting with him and he being stupid felt that flirting ‘love’.The flirting went to the next level where they became Friends with Benefits,they used to have phone sex ,chat all type of sex positions ,they used to send pictures too and this type of relation made Arjun felt that he became addictive to it.They were Virgins but they cuddled,grabbed,shook each other important parts on field,car,even at Arjun’s bedroom. After 3 weeks of all this when they did the above for 4 times in 3 weeks Arjun made a hault on all that stuff and focused on his career.He had made this point that he will not do anything related to his Commerce field: like B.com,BBA and all stuff. He felt that he wanted to do something different other than all these things.But he was not sure to take any such step so he started searching the courses in which his interest can be depend upon like Fashion designing,Animation,LAW.He had an attraction with his elder mamma and so he suggested him if he can fill the form of LDI as it relates the term of Leather Designing Institute. His elder mamma was one of a leading shoe manufacturer and exporter, so because of their so much pressure he filled the form and the date for the entrance was June 15. One month was their to prepare for the entrance.Meanwhile his brother Aakash had some problem in his eyes and has created a problem of double vision.So he had no choice but to undergo an eye surgery as recommended by the experts.
